Goals:

TO PROVIDE SENSITIZATION and MOTIVATION FOR LIFELONG LEARNING & TRAINING

To promote the internalisation of the value and importance of lifelong learning and training in order to acquire and develop technical and personal competences, to improve qualifications and skills, and also to up-date or improve knowledge and aptitudes, whether for personal, social or occupational reasons.

TO OFFER A FREE RESOURCE SPECIALISING IN PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE ON TRAINING AND EDUCATION

To compile all the training and educational activities offered in the municipality, by establishing collaboration links with Training Centres, Associations, and public and private Entities.

To offer all those citizens interested in improving their abilities, skills and competences, access to a resource specifically designed to disseminate and provide information on training and educational activities. www.ikasgune.info

To offer advice and support to ensure that each person decides on the most suitable activity available, based on his/her own personal, social or occupational needs, and to continue to provide support for the duration of the training.

TO ACT AS A TRAINING AND LEARNING NEEDS OBSERVATORY IN THE MUNICIPALITY

To analyse any shortcomings observed in the training and learning activities offered, detecting areas in which there is a great demand and few courses offered, paying particular attention to accessibility difficulties (due to the hours, calendar, access requirements, lack of motivation, reconciliation of family life, financial difficulties, problems of access to premises, etc).

In order to achieve an optimum balance of supply and demand, the aim is to promote initiatives directed at eliminating obstacles that either prevent or make it difficult to gain effective access to training and education.
